In Memoriam

Jeffrey L. Dowd, age 79, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded with the love of his family, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 following a 10 week battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jeff was passionate leader in Technology Education.  He was a technology education teacher and coordinator with Racine Unified School District for over 35 years and was active in VICA/SkillsUSA throughout his career.  Jeff served as the coordinator of the Wisconsin AYES (Automotive Youth Educational Systems)  after retiring from the Racine School District.  Jeff was the WTEA President in 1979-1980 and served as our Trade Show Coordinator for 38 years.  Jeff received the WTEA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.  His leadership will be missed.
